There’s a quietness that falls over the world when the sun begins to set.
The light turns softer, the air a little cooler, and the noise of the day gently fades into the background.
In that hour, something shifts — not just in the sky, but inside of me too.
During the day, I play many roles. A nurse, a daughter, a partner, a friend.
I move fast, think ahead, try to keep everything together.
But when the sky begins to turn orange and gold, I stop.
And for a moment, I don’t have to be anything but me.
I think the world needs more of these small pauses —
moments where we can simply be, not do.
So I take a deep breath. I let the sky hold me for a while.
And I remember that I’m not lost. I’m just moving slowly, and that’s okay.
If you’re reading this, I hope you find your own quiet sunset today. 🌾
